29-30. august 2016: FM research and practice conference

Centre for Facilities Management – Realdania Research (CFM) in Denmark invites you to participate in this unique event – a conference about Facilities Management (FM) research and practice in the Nordic countries.

The conference is arranged in collaboration with DFM – the Danish Facilities Management Association. The purpose is to create an exciting meeting place for people working with FM in the Nordic countries.

The conference will present and discuss recent research and best practices from CFM and our collaboration partners to interested professionals etc. We encourage dialogue between researchers and practitioners about the contribution of FM in the Nordics.

CFM arranged the first Nordic FM conference with success in August 2011. The ambition is also this time to create a meeting place, which the participants will remember for the intellectual challenge, its practical relevance and as a milestone in the development of an alliance around FM research and practice in the Nordic countries.

Programme

The conference will include a combination of plenary sessions, parallel workshops and study tours at DTU Campus. Speakers are researchers and practitioners invited by the organizers. The plenary sessions and study tours will be in English, while the workshops will be in English and/or Scandinavian language. A preliminary programme is available at www.cfm.dtu.dk.

Opening keynotes

The opening session will include a keynote on “University Campus of the Future” by professor Tore Haugen, NTNU. This will be followed by an introduction to the major ongoing transformation of DTU’s campus by facilities director Jakob Steen Møller.

Book launch
The conference includes the launch of the new book: “Facilities Management and Corporate Real Estate as Value Drivers – How to manage and measure added value” edited by Per Anker Jensen and Theo van der Voordt. Each participant will receive a copy of the book.

Guided tours
The conference will include guided tours around DTU’s campus in Lyngby, which is under major transformation both in terms of new and refurbished facilities and professionalization of FM.

Who should participate
The conference is targeted at practitioners, researcher, teachers,
PhD-students, master students etc. within FM in the Nordic countries.

Time and venue
The conference starts Monday 29 August 2016 at 12:00 and finishes Tuesday 30 August 2016 at 17:00. It takes place at DTU Campus Lyngby.
